Interview

I found an interview to an English person who lives in Olot.

I found it interesting and so I would like to share it with you.

Juli Ann Ellis moved to Catalonia from the US in 1999. She lives in Olot with her husband. She lives in Olot with her husband and her son.

Juli explains us that she live in Olot a little over 11 years. She thinks that the thing would like to change is the expensive price of the things, and she goes to Girona for buy.

The thing that she most miss is the food and the family. And when she goes to visit the family she brings Ratafia for they.

She things that the bus system is fantastic and if we visit Olot we had to visit el Museu dels Volcans, Parc Nou and Restaurant La Deu. And the place where is avoid at all cost is the hospital.

And for finish she said that the best time of year to plan a visit is in September.

"Los Protegidos"

Now I am going to talk about a TV serie that it called "Los Protegidos".

It is to transmet all Sundays at ten o'clock. It's interesting and different to the others series.

It's about a childrens who have a different powers, and there are people who want to take the childrens for a one reason that we don't know yet.

The main characters are Mario and Jimena, (Mario is the Carlitos father, and Jimena is the women who is in the house like the mother for the childrens) and the childrens, Carlitos, Lucia, Lucas, Culebra, Sandra, Angel and Blanca.

The objective of Jimena is find her son, the objective of Mario is help Jimena and for the children the objective is learn to control their powers.

The children, Mario and Jimena live together in a house.

Also the children go to school and they had to watch over for the powers.

Carnival.

Every year at the end of February or at the beggining of March it's celebrate one tradition all the world, the Carnival.

This year like every year I disguise with my friends.

Friday 4 of March I am going to go to Roses, Saturday 5 in Sant Pere Pescador and Saturday 12 in Castelló d'empúries.

In my town, Sant Pere Pescador, Saturday at four o'clock begins the "rua" that all people who is disguise will go with float and it takes a turn around the town. Each of the float bring their disguise and their music. Also there are people who will walk without carriage. After the turn there is dancing in the "Centre Civic" until nine approximately. And at twelve there is dancing another time until four or five a.m.

The next day, Sunday, like every year there is a rice in the park.

White week

This year in Catalonia we have a holiday week since 28 of February until 6 of March because we started one week before in September.

My family and a friends of my parents, we went to País Basc, San Sebastian.

The first day we left at 6 a.m. and we arrived there at one o'clock approximately.

During these days we went to San Sebastian for see the town, and also we went one day to Bilbao for see the town and the museum Guggenheim. (In this museum we found the english teacher, Joan Carles).

We were fifteen people and we stayed in one rural house.

This house only were for us. We breakfast there, but everyday we went to had lunch in a restaurant, and had dinner depend the day, in the house or in a restaurant.

There were three floors. The first floor there were the livingroom, the kitchen and one toilette. In the second floor there were four rooms for the four couples. In the last floor there were two rooms, one for the boys and the other for the girls.

This travel was fantastic, we had fun a lot.

The places were beautiful, and the rural house was perfect because it was only for us.

And it was the first time that I have gone to Pais Basc.

Discount.

Every year after the holiday Christmas, the seven day of January began the discounts in Spain, mainly the big stores, the clothes shop, shoes, etc, and approximately until 28 February.

During this time we can find articles with a discount of 25%, 50% and some of them with a discount of 70%. The majority of people go to the shopping because this will can to save money. It's habitual see for the TV imatges of the 7 day of January, the first day of discounts, where we can see the people to come in the bigs stores in the moment of their aperture.

The establishments are obligates to expose the antic price, the discount price and the percentage discount.

Rugby.

Every year there are six countries that celebrate a rugby tournament called "sis nacions". The participants are England, Ireland, Scotland, Wles, France and Italy.

Each rugby team are form for fifteen outfield players more the suplents. The sport consist of arrive with the ball on the other side of the field and it deposited on the floor.

This tournament in concret have very prestige between the participant countries and for the players represents all a honour can participate.

At the beginning this tournament only played the four team of the British islands, after a years France was added, and a few years after, Italy.

There are three trophies in the competitions: one for the team that get win, the other for the best classification of the team of British islands, and the last, the trophy anyone want it because it is a wood spoon that give for the country that not gets win any match.

Justin Bieber.

The topic of this writing is Justin Bieber. I choose this subject because it’s a very good singer for me.

He is a famous singer in the United States with only sixteen years but in Spain a few people know him. Justin Bieber was born 1th of March on 1994 in Canada. He is a pop singer and he play the guitar, piano, trumpet and the battery. Only his single mother, Pattie Mallette, look after him. When he was very young he always sang, he loved sing and he did very well, and when he was twelve he participated a sing contest where he won the second prize.

In 2007 her mother upload videos of him in the page youtube.com. For example he sang songs of Justin Timberlake. Later Scooter Braun when he looked videos in internet he found the videos of Justin Bieber and now Scootter is his maneger. And Justin Timberlake also he wanted to contract him.

In July in 2009 he presents the song “One Time”. And this song you could listen in the radio, and it got the twelve position in the “éxitosCanadianHot 100 and after it got the seventeen position in the “conteo Billboard Hot 100”. On 17 of November on 2009 he gets his cd “My World”.

The song more famous of his cd are One less lonely girl, One Time and Baby. Later he had to go to Roosevelt Field Mall a program which was canceled because 3000 followers started to push.

Also he is a good actor and he is Jason McCan in the program CSI, who is a problematic boy that he had to take a decision respect his brother.

In 12 of Setember in 2010 he won the “Premis MTV” like the better artist.

One less lonely girl

News

Now I am going to do a commentary about a news.

First I will do a summary and after I write my personal opinion.

-Two weeks ago in my town, Sant Pere Pescador, there was a murdered. A man who lived with his wife in a house near “Fluvià Marina” killed her. He comes from Belgium but he lives here since beginning 2009. The man was schizophrenic. After he kills her wife, he cuts the body and puts the pieces in the fridge. Later he calls the gardener because he makes a hole for bury the woman. The gardener when saw the pieces of the woman, the blood... run away and went to the police.

-I think that it’s a terrible news. When I heard the news I couldn’t believe it. My town it’s very small and it’s incredible that pass this thing. I am frightened, because only think about the woman... I hope that the man are going to the prison for many years or for always. It’s very sad, shameful that a man kills her wife. Everyday, the society is more crazy. This notice looks like a film.

Fama revolution

My third writing is about my favourite programme TV.

My favourite programme TV is “fama revolution”.

I watch fama during the week since 17:00h to 19:00h, but not at the weekend.

This year it’s different. The programme consists that twenty dancers are in the competition and there are two groups, basic level and advanced level.

The first group: they have to work more because they have got the possibility of being nominated and leave the dance school on Fridays, but also they have the possibility to up the advanced level.

And the other group: they have rewards like go to different places for dance in front thousand people. They can’t be nominated. But also if they don’t work can down level.

My favourites dancers are Black (Christian) and Mari and, Ali and Aron.

There are five teachers: Sergio (street), Marbelys (liric), Benji (commercial dance), Paula (jazz-fusion) and Pepe (broadway).

And Rafa is a teacher but this year only makes choreographies. He chooses only seven concursants of twenty.

Lola González who is the director but she makes the group choreographies (with all the dancers).

And Paula who is the presenter all the years in this programme.

Barça

Today I want to tell you about the last Saturday.

The last weekend I went to Barcelona with my parents and my brother. We went to Barcelona because my father's family live there. My father and my uncle made me a surprise. Saturday's night we went to "Camp Nou" for saw play Barça. I've never been there. The "Camp Nou" it's impresive and very big.

I saw Bojan, Iniesta, Messi, Pujol, Piqué... who played very well, they are the best players of football.

Barça is my favourite soccer team.

This day thy played versus Villarreal. Barça won 3-1. Messi scored two goals and Villa the third.

I always have wanted go in "Camp Nou" and that day was impressive. I want to go more times. The match was very exciting and entertaining.

I brought a shirt with Barça's shield and my uncle too, and my father brought a Barça's scarf.

Holidays

Today I am going to explain my best holidays of my life.

The week before start school, my parents, my brother and I, we went cruising. On Monday we left from Barcelona to Monaco and return the next Monday in Barcelona.

It was my first time that I went a cruising but now after the experience I hope that it isn’t the last time. Always I want to went a cruising and I get it this summer.

We visited different cities. Every day the weather was very good. We had a good luck.

-The first stop was Monaco. I have never been there. Monaco is a wonderful city, but it’s not very big. We saw the prince’s palace which is very big and spectacular and we don’t forget the “curva de l’Alonso”.

-The second day we went to Florencia and Pisa. I went to there with the school the last year, but it doesn’t matter. We taked photos with the tower of Pisa.

-Next stop was on beach. We spent all the day sunbathing and swimming in the sea. It was a perfect day, a day to relax.

-On Friday we had to go Capri, but there was some problems and finally we went to Napols. This was the only place that I didn’t like. The town was old and not beautiful. And we visited “les ruines de Pompeia” and I was a little boring.

-The fifth day was Tunez. I have never been there. It’s a different place and the temperature is very high.

-And the last stop was Menorca. I wanted to go to Menorca since I was a little. But we went to there on Sunday and almost all the shops was closed. I was disappointed.

The boat was very big. My brother and I, we had one room for us. And my parents were in another room. The rooms were good, but the toilet was very small.

All the food was delicious and the waitress were friendly.

There were three “yaccuzis” and one swimmingpool, and all the days we went there.

The best thing of the travel was the people. We did many friends. They are friendly, laughing, nice, good people..
